What We Loved About This Park
Cleaned and maintained grounds on our visit, staff were actively cleaning and caring for the space
A full acre of safe, open play set far from roadways so that kids can roam with peace of mind
Two large pavilions, including one with a beautiful stone fireplace perfect for family gatherings or cool evening play
Ocean-themed rubber play surface that's visually engaging, cushioned for toddler safety, and now updated with fresh fixtures
A separate toddler “tot lot” and a main play area that even 2-year-olds can enjoy confidently
A large sand pit encourages hands-on sensory fun
A mile-long walking trail and sports options like disc golf, sand volleyball, and open sports fields
Fully wheelchair- and stroller-friendly design with smooth paths and wide-open layout
Clean and accessible on-site restrooms (and they've been consistently well-kept across multiple visits!)
Plenty of seating for caregivers to relax and keep an eye on the fun
Equipment that was previously broken has been repaired, and everything looks safe and in great shape
Bonus: No bug issues during our visit, which made the experience even more enjoyable
Things to Know Before You Go
The open layout, but plan to walk the perimeter if you’ve got little runners and to keep a view on the playground for equipment made for ages 5-12, like rope and wall climbing
Shade is limited on sunny days, bring umbrellas or hats; pavilions offer the best cover, but the view from the full park can be limited from there
Slides and play equipment can get hot in direct sunlight. Check before little ones climb
The sandbox is located outside of the main playground area, and you'll need to bring your toys
It’s a great space for meetups, but summer camps or events can overlap; keep an eye on busy zones
The park is fenced, but the entrance is open (not gated)
Indoor play area next door is a great rainy day or hot weather option, open Monday–Thursday from 10 AM to 4 PM, unless otherwise posted
Mom Tips
Best times to visit: Early mornings (8–11 AM) and early afternoons (1–3 PM) are ideal, less crowded, thanks to naps and cooler temps
Grab pavilion space early: The fireplace pavilion offers great shade and a perfect snack break spot. These can fill up quickly, so arrive early if you want one
Pack smart: Bring water, hats, and wipes, super helpful when moving between the play area, sandbox, and walking trail
Stroller/wagon-friendly setup: Wide paths and ample parking right at the entrance make it easy to set up a base
Plan a multipurpose outing: Pair your visit with the indoor playground next door
Use the restroom before playing: You’ll pass the restrooms on the way in good to stop before kids get too distracted
Parking tips: If the upper lot is full, there’s lower-level parking available nearby, still close, but a stroller or wagon helps for quick exits
Bathroom backup: If restrooms near the park are crowded, walk over to the church (Monday–Thursday, 10 AM–4 PM) to use indoor facilities. Check Vibrant Church’s Facebook page for building updates
