Fox Meadows Creamery: Ephrata Location
The creamery that might just deepen your love for ice cream.
Location: 2475 W Main Street, Ephrata, PA
Tucked into the rolling farmland of Ephrata, Fox Meadows Creamery is a true hidden gem, surrounded by wide-open fields, grazing animals, and the peaceful charm of a back road. The scenic country drive alone sets the mood; it’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down a little. You’ll pass barns, cornfields, and cows before arriving at a creamery that’s modern, welcoming, and full of flavor. It’s a perfect blend of small-town calm and big dessert energy.
What We Loved About This Creamery
They are open Monday-Thursday 11:00 am -9:30 pm, Friday-Saturday 11:00 am-10:00 pm, Closed Sunday.
The ice cream is as good as they say, smooth, creamy, and full of real flavor.
I ordered the Baked Fox with vanilla ice cream pressed between 2 warm chocolate chip cookies.
Loved the big windows where you can see into the creamery kitchen, so fun for kids while waiting!
Indoor seating is super spacious, high chairs were available and easy to use, which made feeding little ones more relaxed.
The outdoor seating wraps around with a cozy deck and picnic tables. There is shade depending on where you sit, and lots of room to spread out.
On the way out, we took the short walk around the back deck instead of exiting through the front really peaceful and nice for winding down after dessert.
The kids even got to play at the little park/play area right outside. Major bonus!
They give everyone a free, complimentary coffee or fountain soda on their first visit, no questions asked.
Things to Know Before You Go
Although there’s additional parking to the left, we didn’t need it. We pulled in and parked just one spot away from the front door, super convenient, even on a holiday evening!
There are multiple entry/exit points; you can go through the front or take a walk around the back via the wraparound deck.
The farm market inside is worth a peek at local goodies, drinks, and gifts to bring home.
We noticed there aren’t ramps directly in the front or back entrances. We didn’t bring a wagon since the walk was short, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re coming with a stroller or wheelchair.
That said, there’s plenty of space inside and outside to navigate with a stroller; you may just have to plan how to get it up a step or two.
Mom Tips
The bathrooms are fantastically clean, spacious, and stocked with everything you might’ve forgotten (soap, paper towels, changing area, feminine products, diapers, wipes). Such a thoughtful setup for moms with littles.
No need to bring coffee, they serve it here, so that’s one less stop!
Bring wipes, maybe a bib, and prepare for messy but happy faces after that dessert.
Kids can explore a bit safely outdoors, especially with the little play space. It is not gated, but it is behind the building, not near the parking lot.
The park is tire shreds, so bring sneakers for the kiddos.
If you’re pushing a stroller, you’ll find the paths and seating areas wide enough, but just be mindful of how you’ll get it through the front or back door.
If you want a less crowded park experience, I would recommend between 2:00 pm-4:00 pm or 6:00 pm -7:00 pm. You can also check to see their peak times on Google to avoid the crowd.
From start to finish, this was the kind of sweet, simple adventure we love: family-friendly, full of flavor, and stress-free. We’ll be back for sure (and probably bringing more friends with us next time)!
