What We Loved About This Place

Easy, free, indoor adventure with animals, no admission or purchase required
There are cats up for adoption right at the entrance, plus a great variety of reptiles, fish, and small animals
Animals are named (minus the fish), which made it feel more personal and fun for the kids
Staff was kind and welcoming
Easy to navigate the wagon the kids were in
Strong pet supply inventory in case you need to grab something during your visit
Perfect for low-energy days calm, not overstimulating

Hours are Monday-Saturday 12-7pm and Sunday 12-6pm
ID and serious inquiry may be required to hold animals
There’s no gate or alarm at the front of the store, so little ones can walk right out if you’re not careful
There is no longer a dog kennel, and we didn’t see any animals freely roaming like they used to
There’s no food or snacks available inside the store itself
Closest bathrooms (and changing tables) are located in the food court.
Ample seating is available throughout the mall, though not all are benches or chairs.
If you’re up for it, the mall is mostly quiet with lots of empty storefronts ideal for a stroller walk or letting kids stretch their legs.
Look for the old fountain by Boscov’s and some riding toys near the apartment side entrance (bring quarters!).
Food options are limited at the food court. There are however vending machines near there.

Park near the food court if you’ll need the bathroom first or use the Shoe Carnival entrance for the shortest walk to ZooMania.
Bring a stroller or wagon if you have multiple littles it helps keep them from reaching into low tanks or wandering near the open door.
This is a great weatherproof outing if you’re looking for something simple, free, and indoors.
If your kids need to burn off energy after the store, take a slow lap around the mall. It’s quiet, safe, and often empty perfect for low-key movement without overstimulation.
